Houthis claim six missile and drone operations inside Saudi Arabia over 48 hours
A Houthi Armed Forces statement via Saba claimed strikes on Aramco facilities in Yanbu, the Shaybah oil field, King Khalid airport in Riyadh, Abha airport and other military sites; Reuters reported the claim and said it could not immediately verify it.

Yemen’s Houthis said Monday that their armed forces had carried out six missile and drone operations deep inside Saudi Arabia over the previous 48 hours, according to an English-language statement published by the Houthi-run Saba news agency.
The Iran-aligned Houthis said they had carried out several attacks against Saudi energy, airport and military targets, including an Aramco site in Yanbu, the Shaybah oilfield, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Abha airport, Reuters reported. There was no immediate Saudi confirmation, and Reuters said it could not immediately verify the claims.
Saba’s English statement, dated Oct. 19, 2026, said the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out six “qualitative military operations” using ballistic and cruise missiles and drones. It claimed the first operation targeted Aramco in Yanbu in two phases and caused large fires; the second targeted the Shaybah oil field and caused fires; the third targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh in three phases; the fourth targeted Abha International Airport, Saudi radars at Jabal al-Hisn and Jabal al-Rahmah, and Khamis Mushait Air Base in three phases, disrupting air traffic and damaging the base; the fifth targeted a Saudi naval task force camp, claiming deaths and injuries; and the sixth targeted a Saudi radar at Bir Askar, claiming the radar was destroyed.
CGTN Europe posted a full English relay of the same statement on X, attributing it to the Houthis and naming the same six target sets.
GROKsiNEWS.com could not independently verify the claims. Saudi officials had not publicly responded to the claims as of 2:54 p.m. ET Monday, Oct. 19, 2026.
GROKsiNEWS.com previously reported the Oct. 10 Houthi strike on Riyadh’s King Khalid airport that Saudi authorities said killed 13 people, in a separate story. Monday’s statement claimed a three-phase operation against that airport among the six operations; that remains an unverified Houthi claim.
