Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump's son-in-law, and Steve Witkoff, Trump's Middle East envoy, are set to travel to Norway this week for the next round of negotiations on ending the war in Ukraine, Reuters reported, citing three people familiar with the plans.

Two of the people said they expected Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to attend the meetings, according to Reuters. The people, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the schedule is tentative and could change, Reuters reported.

Reuters national security correspondent Erin Banco said in a post on X on Monday that Kushner and Witkoff "plan to go to Norway tomorrow where they're expected to meet Ukrainian officials as the admin tries to get closer to trilateral talks."

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment, Reuters reported. GROKsiNEWS.com found no statement on the trip from the White House, the State Department or Norway's government as of 5:11 p.m. ET.

Zelenskyy said in a video posted on X on Monday that Ukraine hoped to meet Witkoff and Kushner, possibly in Norway, in the coming days.

The meetings come amid increased tensions between Washington and Kyiv, after Zelenskyy said in recent days that the speed of Ukraine's Starshield satellite system was reduced as a result of a U.S. policy decision and that the United States has limited intelligence sharing, allegations that U.S. officials have denied, according to Reuters.

Trump said Monday that he has not agreed to a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
