Yemen's government says Houthi missiles hit Coast Guard sites in Aden; Houthi-run ministry reports deaths from strikes in Sanaa

The Houthis said they targeted Saudi military positions in Aden. The Houthi-run health ministry reported deaths from separate strikes on a house and a cement factory in Sanaa.

As of 3:39 p.m. ET, Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026

Houthi forces fired three ballistic missiles at Coast Guard facilities in Aden on Saturday afternoon, Yemen's internationally recognized government said, as the Houthi-run health ministry reported deaths from airstrikes on the Houthi-held capital, Sanaa.

Aden

Two missiles targeted the Coast Guard headquarters in Aden and a third struck the Coast Guard building in the Tawahi district, the government's Interior Ministry said in a statement carried by the state Saba news agency and reported by Yemen TV. The ministry called it a "terrorist attack" and said authorities were gathering information and evidence to assess the damage.

The Houthis' military spokesman, Yahya Saree, claimed they had targeted Saudi military build-ups at al-Nasr Camp and the naval military base in Aden, The New Arab reported. The New Arab said there was no confirmed information on damage or casualties.

Sanaa

The Houthi-run Ministry of Public Health and Population said an initial toll from Saudi-led coalition strikes on Sanaa on Saturday was 21 people killed and injured, in a statement carried by the Houthi-run Saba news agency at 8:50 a.m. ET.

In that statement, the ministry said a strike on a house in the Asr area of Sanaa killed three people and injured three. It said a separate strike on a cement factory in Hamdan District killed seven people, including a woman and a girl, and injured eight.

There was no immediate comment from the coalition on the strikes, the German news agency dpa reported.
